Adaptation Mechanism is the tool and mechanism
provided by the underlying platform in different Functional
Layers of Service-Based Application
that allow for the implementation of various Adaptation Strategies. [PO-JRA-1.2.1] They may be classified according to a set of characteristics, including dynamicity and automation of strategy selection [CD-JRA-1.2.2]:
