Business Process Management
(KM-BPM)

A business goal is often quantified using KPIs (financial, operational, customer satisfaction...).
While negociating , organisations agree on visible KPIs levels or targets using contracts or SLAs.
At runtime, while Monitored KPIs do not meet contract, then
adapation mechanisms are triggered. A  contingency partner may be involved in this adaptation phasis.
A business Goal may also evolve, then a renegociation may happen and an adaptation of monitoring system  must be deployed at SC and SI levels.

A business plan is a formal statement of a set of business goals, the reasons why they are believed attainable, and the plan for reaching those goals. It may also contain background information about the organization or team attempting to reach those goals. [Wikipedia2]

Business plans may also target changes in perception and branding by the customer, client, taxpayer, or larger community. When the existing business is to assume a major change or when planning a new venture, a 3 to 5 year business plan is required, since investors will look for their annual return in that timeframe. [Pinson 2004]

A stakeholder’s Goal is an objective, which should be achieved by the future system.

Goals represent the actor’s strategic interests of the future system. [Tropos]

A goal or objective is a desired result a person or a system envisions, plans and commits to achieve—a personal or organizational desired end-point in some sort of assumed development. Many people endeavor to reach goals within a finite time by setting deadlines.
It is roughly similar to purpose or aim, the anticipated result which guides reaction, or an end, which is an object, either a physical object or an abstract object, that has intrinsic value. [Wikipedia1]
