Cross-layer adaptation addresses the need to integrate the existing approaches for SBA adaptation across functional SBA layers by allowing for proper identification and propagation of the necessary adaptation activities in different elements of the SBA architecture. [PO-JRA-1.2.3][Schmieders et al, 2011]
