The S-Cube Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) is happy to announce openings for the 2011 Internship Program.
Bridging the gap between academic to industry is a key goal of S-Cube. To this end, the IAB is inviting interested students to visit attend an industrial R&D setting during the summer, for collaborating with like-minded researchers and engineers on topics of joint interest. The program will follow the successful internship program of 2010, as described in the S-Cube newsletter (see http://www.s-cube-network.eu/news/s-cube-internships-at-the-ibm-haifa-research-lab).
For 2011, we expect to have opportunities for such research projects at the IBM Haifa Research Lab, Israel and at ThereSIS, the Thales Applied Research Laboratory near Paris.
Research areas include, but are not limited, to Service Quality, Service Engineering and Cloud Services. Additional topics may be determined based on joint interests of the researchers from industry and the participating S-Cube research groups.
Interested students should be inquiring with their professors. Internship costs will be covered by S-Cube after approval by the network management board; the participating industrial organizations can help with the administrative aspects. Upon confirmation of the participating S-Cube institute, students should address inquiries, titled "S-Cube Internships for Summer 2011" to the following IAB members.
